1998 ford expedition

I have a 1998 ford expedition was driving fine yesterday
am. However yesterday afternoon went out to start it and
all i got was a click.

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery cables/connections all good. If battery is down, use a charger on it. Can't test anything if battery is down. If battery is down, check your charging system. Note the starter motor wiring diagram. See the starter relay, two sides to relay, the load side, right side in diagram. The control side, left side in diagram, the control needs voltage and ground. As you can see in diagram, the voltage to control side of relay, comes from crank position of ignition switch, through the fuse, through the transmission range sensor to starter relay. Voltage to load side of relay, comes from battery, hot all the time. At the moment, I just think your battery is down?
