my mazda tribute will start but shuts off

I used my Tribute to jump start my brother's Jeep Liberty now my car will start everytime
but will not stay running. It idles rough and when I step on the gas it stalls out.

How did you hook the negative? Post to post or grounded out to the frame/body? CEL light on, if so what are the codes? It is possible to damage your ECM when jumping another vehicle if not connected properly. That is why you see many more jump kits being utilized.
