2004 Mazda 3 won’t start, battery replaced.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving on the freeway, my speed was 75
then my speed slowly went down till it hit to 0 then
my car died, was trying to press the gas to get
back on speed but won’t do anything. Thought it
was the battery so I replaced it. Now when I turn it
on it’ll start for like 3 seconds then dead again.
What could be the cause of this?

1 Answer

It may be a bad alternator. You can take your car to Autozone and have them test your alternator for free. The alternator charges your car's battery as it runs. If it stops working, the battery will drain due to all the components it has to run.
