How do 2018 Kia Souls handle in the snow
Live in the Northeast and we can get some serious snow. I'm thinking of
buying the Kia Soul Plus and am concerned about winter driving. Will snow
tires do the job? Will 17" wheels be OK or do I need separate rims?
Without AWD I would say not very good.
I have a 2016 Soul that I equipped with Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 winter tires. We took it to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood here in Oregon about 2-3 years ago. The car did well in very snowy conditions. However, we did get stuck in the parking lot (along with dozens of other cars) since the snow accumulation was pretty high while we were on the mountain. We had to dig our way out and use chains. So, if the snow is really, really deep you could have problems.
