Can a Suburu Outback haul a 2,000 pound camper

There have been a lot of threads on this. Read your owners manual! You can but I do not advise it as the CVT is fragile.
The answer is below and self explanatory....... yes, Subaru builds these cars with a CVT transmission.... you think that's a joke....I DON'T.... stop bashing. OR, maybe you need to just sell your Subaru if you are so disgruntled. WOW....yes ..we all know that you hate CVTs even though you don't have one! The tow capability is 2,700 on the FOUR cylinder and 3,000 on the SIX cylinder.... I think if you are careful with how you drive and don't overload the car and trailer....it should be fine.... realize that going uphill will slow you down. https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/subaru/outback/2018/specs/outback- 3.6r-limited-394884

FOR is correct; Grasshopper is in denial as he still owns an old CVT.
