fuel display
Has anyone ever experienced any serious issues with fuel display?
I had one the other day, it showed 80 miles worth fuel left on my way to work.
On the way back it was showing about 45 miles, so I kept driving because I
would have easily made it to the Costco on my way for refueling. But at one
point it showed 30 miles and within no time, my vehicle started to stumble, it
won't accelerate and was showing 0 miles left. I was lucky to be able to
move to the shoulder after crossing two lanes in heavy traffic. The car just
stopped the second I was on shoulder, had to call roadside assistance for
refueling. It was very scary and dangerous. The dealer service department
checked and found no issues. their solution was to fill the tank when it starts
to show the LOW FUEL sign. I am supposed to bring my vehicle back. I got
this vehicle mainly because of its safety rating but now I am scared to drive
it. Any comments?
