Key won't turn in ignition

I have a mazda 2004 tribute and the key will not
turn in the ignition.
This seems to be a problem in a lot of mazda
tribute  can someone tell me how to fix it please

I had the same problem but it was because my key was so worn it wouldn't recognize it which activated the anti theft system and locked my steering wheel as well. Had to have a mobile locksmith cut me a new key based upon Mazda specs. Issue resolved. PS. When comparing new and old key it was shocking that old key worked as long as it did.

Hi, look on top of the steering column. There is a little square like a knock out. Remove it there is a button under it. Push the button and then try the key. I was stuck at Wally world for 45 minutes. Then I looked. In the owners manual out of desperation and found it
