Purchased high mileage 2018 Rav 4 hybrid

Asked by Nuanpun Jan 27, 2024 at 05:53 AM about the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I found 2018 Toyota Rav 4 hybrid with
197,000 miles for $15000. The car has
been in an accident at 50,000 miles.
Is this a good car to buy? I only have
$15,000 to spend and MPG , safety
and longevity are important factors in
buying a car to me.

Then don’t buy a hybrid, stick with a straight gasoline vehicle. At least you got the make correct. Honda, Toyota and even some Mazdas will give you what you’re looking for. No wrecks, unless it can be proved it was only minor..

Nope, for that kind of money you should be able to get something with a lot less mileage. Average mileage is 10 to 15 thousand miles per year for the age of the vehicle. This vehicle has been driven around 33,000 miles per year. If you can confirm that's highway mileage it's not as bad. But still way too much money in my opinion! Hope that helps! Jim
