Un lock the window control on the driver window control panel

I didn't even know there was such a switch. I bought a replacement switch for the passenger side and the new one did the same thing as the old one. Put the old one back in. Unlocked the from the driver side and everything is fine. Now i have to return the switch i don't need. Thanks for the help.
