Glow Light Blinking
Asked by Kristy Jan 25, 2019 at 12:21 PM about the 2018 Jeep Renegade Latitude 4WD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I noticed my 2018 Jeep Renegade Latitude didn't auto start this morning so I
went out to manually start it and my glow plug light was blinking and my vehicle
wouldn't start. Has anyone else had this problem or have any clue why this
might be happening. I thought that glow plugs were only on diesel vehicles but I
guess I was wrong on that aspect.

Are you saying your Jeep is gas? There is a fault with a glow plug if the glow plug light is blinking. Since you have a warranty, take it back to your Jeep dealer.
My 2016 Jeep Renegade also would not auto start nor allow me to start it manually. The outside temp was -26 degrees. My son and I videotaped the flashing glow plug light and check engine light was also on. It would not start until it was above 0 degrees. Called Chrysler direct and they said do not drive it, have it towed to dealership. I have it at a dealership today Feb 4th 2019. Dealership says it runs. But its above 40 degrees. Waiting for the mechanics feedback now.
