2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara won't start

Asked by Eddie Feb 17, 2021 at 08:33 AM about the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Sahara 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 24,000 miles on it. I've
owned it for about a month and yesterday I encountered the dreaded no
start. When you turn the key all lights come on but nothing happens, no click,
no crank, nothing. I called AAA, but 20 minutes or so later it started up like
nothing happened. Since then, I've been reading posts that this seems to be
a common occurrence with Wranglers, but haven't read about any solutions.
Has anyone out there had this happen and come up with a permanent
solution?

Clean the battery terminals, cables and check the ground located around the engine bay along the hood line. if the battery checks out. this could be an issue dealing with either the cam sensor or crank sensor. But typically with those type of miles on anew vehicle could be the batter installed dosnt have a deep enough cycle.

Cold weather saps the battery power. You may be due for a new battery or if it is super cold you might need a battery warmer.

Hi Guru, can you elaborate, has this happened to you? do you know if this is a common problem?
