Question type: Maintenance & Repair
It's a 2007 ford mustang with the v6
Step son dove it while it was overheating till it shut
off I let it cool down put coolant in it. Engine turns
over but isn't starting and doesn't seem to even try.
I'm not sure if it's getting spark or fule as of yet.
Just seeing if anyone has ever delt with this.

If he drove 15 year old motor hot till it shut down then I think you may have some serious problems . Do a compression test before you spend a bunch of money on it .
Yep sounds fried. Remove the oil dipstick and smell the oil on it, if it smells burnt then the engine is most likely toasted, block has been turned blue so the ring tension is gone and the metal has lost tempering. Do a dry and wet compression test, if the compression climbs up with a wet test then the rings are shot.
If you have good compression test for spark. If you're lucky he just burned out the ignition coil(s) or the ignition control module. Good luck to you! Jim
