i have a check engine light on and i got the codes and they read p0170 fuel trimbank 1 missfire, cylinder missfire, what does that mean how would i be able to fix the problem? and when i go to start my car it takes a minute for it to start i dont know if it has anything to do with the problem?

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue. Either injector problems or fuel pressure regulator problems. I'd call a mazda dealer and ask for a service tech and ask him his opinion.
No the code P0170 is a lean code it basicly is telling you that you have a vacume leak , you need to have what they call a smoke check done for the leak which iss the safest way to check for it , they actually pump smoke into the engine block and then the smoke will escape from were the leak is, other way is spray either brake clean or carb cleaner on and around intake manifold and vacume lines to find leak while car is running, note:( car will act funny or will run better when you hit the area that is leaking) NOTE( this is dangerouse though if you hit the spark plug wires or anything that can cause a ignite a fire be very carefull at this type of diagnostics.
this is a classic vacuum leak. most common is one of the many plastic "tees" and "Y" that connects the more than 21 feet of vacuum line. to access most of them, you will have to pull the intake. there are 3 actual 'T' shaped, and the rest are 'Y' shaped. a place that sells tropical fish supplies is a good place to look for brass fittings. the hard start could be this leak affects the prc solenoid. another problem could be fuel pump, there is a valve in the pump that keeps fuel pressure in the system when it is shut off. if this valve bleeds down, then it takes several seconds for the fuel system to get adequate pressure. try this-when starting, turn the car on, but do not start. wait several seconds, then try to start. if it starts immediatly, then this valve is fubar. but to change it, you have to drop the fuel tank. not worth the trouble, imho
