Can I listen to CD s in 2018 crv

You can use your computer to rip CDs into MP3s and put them on a USB flash drive. Really easy using Windows' built-in media player. Google if still confused.
I want a regular CD player in my Honda CRV 2018. I do not want to have to use my phone, USB flash drive or anything but a CD Player for my many CDs!!!! Regretting my purchase.
Try Crutchfield. I kinda doubt there is a solution but if there is they would know about it.
I cannot believe that there is no standard cd player in the Honda CRV. Somebody goofed BIG TIME. A new Honda client. BAD DESIGNING!!!
I am so disappointed no CD in my new Honda. This is terrible
I'll be buying a car brand new over the next three days and just realized about the CD player. Now I may have to rethink my entire car that I wanted to buy. I have hundreds of mint condition CDs that I love. I don't want to deal with MP3 players and USB and all that other garbage. Big mistake. Maybe in 50 years down the road when all the little kids of today I'm driving and are growing up without CDs. Fine but not this generation of car. Big mistake
I too was just going to purchase my New 2018 Honda CRV!!! No freaking CD player!!! Good thing I noticed it the second time I drove it. No deal that’s for sure. Every freaking car has a CD player in it even if it’s only one cd at a time. Honda screwed up major big time. Lost my purchase over that
When I trade this vehicle in I’ll be switching to an SUV with a real CD player. As they said in Pretty Woman .....big mistake ...BIG mistake.

Just..yesterday..got 2018 CRV-EX-L; top of the line; had a CRV so assumed new one would play CD's, BIG mistake..$30K and no CD player?!
I just bought a Honda CRV and no CD player. But didn’t notice till after I bought! Big mistake. Why is there no CD player in the 2018 Honda CD player?? Honda please come out with a CD player that you can use in CRV!!
Do NOT but this car! Not only does it not have a CD player, but it has been cheapened. The seats aren’t as robust, and don’t get me started on the electronics. It is just a matter of time unto l have an accident due to trying to find my eBook on my phone, (a huge lie) or trying to get to the menu on the screen. Run away!

Leased 2019 crv lx yesterday. Traded in a 2015 ex which had a cd player in the entertainment system. Did not look to see if the 2019 radio had a CD player cuz I'm living in the 21st century.... that should be basic. Right!? Barebones!!!! We are not getting a freaking Studebaker with an a AM radio with one speaker in the dash, right!?!! ........so we play with the radio to see where the slot is to insert the cd...nothing but hard plastic baby. Grrrrrr!!! Then I look online and find it home from ALL CRV trim lines. What freaking genius brain farted that idea??? Worse yet, what exec signed off on that?! Here's where they add insult to injury though. Honda is very proud of their new fuel filler tube because it does not need a seperate fuel cap anymore. It has a little apparatus which resembles a vagina in the neck where you stick the fuel nozzle into. So Honda has eliminated the CD player and the fuel cap as we know it. I suppose it would be cool to loudly play "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" from my "Bat Out of Hell" CD as I slip that fuel nozzle into that CRVs little plastic vagina but I guess I can't now can I? As Meatloaf sang in that aforementioned song..... "I'm waitin for the end of time so I can END MY TIME WITH YOU!!!!!!
I just purchased a 2018 Honda, the model is touring, top of the line. 35,000 plus. I purchased 4 new cds and tried to put one in. I called Honda and was told there isn’t one. I cannot believe it. What a rip off from Honda. How can they be so stupid or cheap?
Subaru still has the CD player and after googling to see who still made cars with a CD player...guess what my new car is going to be?? I had already picked out a CR-V 2019 and was ready to pick it up. TOLD THEM NO DICE! I like my CD's and Subaru has a really cool surround like view...plus so much more fun to drive. I may be old but I'm not dead.
I bought a 2018 CRV and knew it did not have a cd player but figured the dealer could put one in. The car was only one month old so they did not have the 'kit' yet. I went to car toys, they also had no kit. It seems like even if you are willing to have a cd player put in, nobody has the kit to do it. Very disappointed!

I was going to buy one. Not now. I'll only buy a car with a CD player
I'm in the same boat - didn't check before purchasing 2018 CRV EX-L. Sooooo bummed no CD player. I have 100's of CDs which I listen to on road trips - to convert all of those mp3s (lesser sound quality btw) is a massive and frustrating endeavor. Shame on Honda.

Wow! I had no idea so many people would still want to carry around CDs in their car. My criteria was "Must have Bluetooth" between my phone and car. I can listen to internet radio, MP3s loaded onto my phone, Audio books, and more without having melting or dirty or scratched CDs. BTW: In my first car, I added an 8-track player! Then it was cassette players, then CD players. Glad I got away from having to carry all that media around.
rwgreene999 Wow!! What are you 20 years old or just plain stupid? Internet radio such as Spotify or Pandora are EVEN lower fidelity than .mp3's which are in themselves TEN times lower than CD's. Internet streaming also eats up your data fool. Maybe you, your generation and people with no ears don't care and are willing to listen to lo-fi garbage. Personally I am am a professional audio engineer and I NEED to listen to music in vehicle in FULL fidelity.
Most car makers expedited the phase out of cd players over the past 5 years . I've only found them in really expensive $$$$$$$ models, which is ridiculous. Not having the option of a cd player in the car I am paying thousands for in my price range of 20k has halted my cycle of buying a new car every 5 years. They force this MP3 USB technology on me and I'm not having it. YOur loss Toyota, Honda

S2DG8 - Wow, that's quite a bit of personal invective towards someone who simply has a different point of view than you. You "NEED" to listen to music in "FULL" fidelity? - then don't get a CRV. Problem solved. And thus you can further anguish Honda by depriving them of your lovely personality.

GuruS2DG8 said "I am am a professional audio engineer and I NEED to listen to music in vehicle in FULL fidelity." I am sure that if you were a "professional audio engineer", then you would know that CDs are not full fidelity. Plus CRVs do not make good sound rooms.
Agree will all of the above but I will deal with it. Love the car. 2019 CRV
It's sad that the Houston dealership, Russell & Smith rep. like other Honda company are shrewd enough NOT to inform the new customer that the car their customer is test driving is not equipped with something that's STANDARD in most cars like CD player
The Honda story that CD's are dead is bull roar. One of my boys is 35 years old and is a DJ in San Francisco. He buys and plays CD's. He lives near a Amoeba Music Store on Height Street that is always busy SELLING CD'S! Honda lost a customer with this. Soon I'll be looking for a good used SUV with a decent radio (unlike my CRV) and a CD player.
I was considering a Honda CR-V too, but I always carefully read what kind of radio is installed. I guess I'll be buying another Subaru.
It is outrageous that a car as expensive as a Honda CRV doesn't come from the factory with a cd player. And it is stunning that getting factory authorized cd players are not available for the dealership to install.. Also, the sound quality of the radio speakers that you get in your car are lousy quality. I will be looking for a car with a cd player with quality speakers the next time I purchase a new car. I'm really annoyed.
After going to six different dealerships I knew that I wanted the Honda CR-V touring edition. Didn't have the CD player and having literally thousands of CD of every jonra and in mint condition... I wanted a CD player. Nonetheless found very simple solutions around it.. CD players or thing that are going away. Like everything else in this world. Kids today don't buy them. Young adults don't buy them. I ended up downloading about 500 songs to my computer which is very simple to do and I am not tech-savvy by any means. And now they're all on one little MP3 player. No clutter in my car plug it in works fine. Problem solved. Numerous cars will be coming out in the future without any CD players. The world went crazy when 8 tracks were no longer in cars either.
I own a 2018 CRV, top of the line, moon roof, leather seats, price tag of $34,000. This car is our 5th Honda, so disappointed there is no CD player, went back to dealer to have them hook one up, nothing they could do. Went to BestBuy, bought a simple CD player and an adapter for the power source, plays fine. A pain in my butt to pull off the road to change George Strait CD’s, but works well. Bought the car Nov, 2018, next car will have a CD player. Love from a 72 year old CD loving old lady.♀️

I have simple CD players. What kind of an adapter do I need?
Gee had no idea people were so annoyed with no CD player, in the Honda's now. I bought a 2018 Honda, CRV in April, and absolutely love it! Yes, it felt odd no CD player, but, i see CD's fading out anyways, so it is just the signs of the times people. Get over it! Having this baby to drive, is such a dream come true for me, the last thing I am going to bitch about is the lack of a CD player. And, btw, carrying around a crap load of CD's in a case, is a great way to be robbed of all of them, like what happened to me in the 90's. New RIAA Numbers Show That CDs Are All But Dead And Downloads Are On Life Support. ... But the downturn from the first half of 2019 to the first half of 2020 was 48%; CD sales were cut almost in half over the last year. Sep. 14, 2020. Just another fact of life. Get used to it. The music sounds great off the bluetooth, phone method, as does the radio. I have no complaints whatsoever about a lack of a CD player.
