What causes all dash lights flashing on my 2018 honda CRV?

Hello Guru3WGVJ. As an owner of a 2018 CRV, you question caught my attention - and while I agree with Ed2626 that it should be addressed by the dealer, we've all encountered the shoulder shrug and can't say, it isn't doing it now and we're not seeing any error codes. If you ask me, it is a piss poor excuse. Give me an old time mechanic whose wealth of experience permits him to fix problems without needing a computer crutch. Anyway, before taking the car in, do some searches for "Honda all dashboard lights flashing" (or something like that) and review some of the results. For example you might find https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/CR-V/2017/accessories- interior/all_dash_lights_flashing.shtml - it has 5 complaints with one actually having an apparent diagnosis and solution - a loose grounding wire. Anyway if you can arm yourself with known solutions to the problem the when the dealer does the 'shrug, bring it back when it is happening' routine you can politely ask which of the items on your list were actually checked? And when he says the diagnostics didn't show anything, you can request that these known causes be checked. Good luck, and please come back and let this community know what caused the problem. Thanks.

I also got same problem with Honda CRV 2018 model. All systems lights are flashing on my Dashboard. What's going on??
Guru94M7R1 answered 4 years ago
I have had this problem 3 times and I'm getting ready to sue for a new vehicle. First time excuse was a loose ground. Second time was the software needed updating. This time its been listed as bad VSA Module and miscellaneous body electrical. Either I have the exact same problem over and over or this thing is absolute junk with all these different system failures. This is ridiculous and will not be buying another Honda I think.
I have exact same problem (4-Times). During the most recent episode my Wife turned the ignition off while in Drive then restarted while in Drive. All Warning Lights went off!!! Strange! This didn’t solve problem but maybe a way to get rid of Warning Lights. My cruise control would not work while Warning Lights were on but now cruise works. Hopefully this problem can be fixed by Dealer!!! We will see! Any suggestions please let me know at jgoody48@cox.net

I just had same blinking issue on my CRV 2020 with just 10k mileage. The dealer does not evev want to look at it.
my 2017 CRV has done the same thing twice but only when the outside temperature is below 50. Has anyone experienced the same problem.
I live in the north and it was in the 50 degree range for the past two weeks. Every day but one I had this issue. Today was back in the 70 degrees range and I didn't park in the dark garage at home or work. The CRV sat outside in the sun all day and when I went to the gym all lights went out. I read a comment on a YouTube video of someone saying their car battery was one volt low and they believe the computer is highly sensitive if the battery dips below12 volts. Batteries are affected adversely by cold weather so this theory plus Ralph and mines observation seems plausible. I also had this happen twice in the spring, but went the entire summer without incident until recent. I need an oil change in 10% and scheduled it early for next week when it is to be colder as I assume the lights will come back. If they come up empty handed I might buy a new and better battery. It is far sooner than i'd like to buy one, but this CRV is out of warranty and I usually end up buying one over the life of me owning a car anyway.

I had all the warning lights come on as well on my 2018 Honda CRV. At one time the car also lost power and could only drive 10 MPH. After I pulled over and restarted, the problem went away. I noticed this issue happened when the weather was cold. I took the car to the dealership and they reset the computer and all was well. Then 4 days later the car wouldn't start and it turns out the battery reached the end of its life. Low voltage on the battery may cause the sensors to malfunction and the warning lights to turn on. So one thing to check is battery life (which I assume would become an issue now for 2017-18 cars).

As a follow-up to my earlier posting, 10 days after replacing the battery with a new one the same thing happened. I called Honda (1-800-999-1009), told them about this user chat reporting the same issue as well as that the service manager at the dealer told me he saw this issue on the same model year, but other than filing my complaint and sending me to the dealer once again (for another computer reset?) they did nothing. I filed a complaint with the NHTSA (https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/?) since clearly if someone drives on the highway and all warning lights turn on, they may pull over and get into a crash. Perhaps they will nudge Honda to take responsibility for this issue, especially if more people notify them.

I owned a 2016 Honda HRV model. The Information System display (next to the Speedometer), is intermittently flash and sometime black out. At first I thought it is the battery issue but after replaced with new battery the problem remain the same. One day, I touch the glass at front of the Information System Display then the display stay ON perfectly until I release my finger the display disappeared. I guessed that there is a connection issue and which mean that I have to remove the assembly and examine all related connection to the Information System Display unit. Have not done the disassembling but will do and see.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/zb7lkr2vxexep1e/IMG_0526%202.MOV?dl=0 Is this th problem your having? I am also. This will be the third time I have taken my 2017 Honda CRV in for this issue. This time I am being told it is a faulty AC control unit. According to the dealer rep, there was a recall on CERTAIN VIN numbers, not all VIN numbers. Apparently mine was not under recall. Luckily I have an extended warranty. I will be arguing with the dealer about this as this is the 3rd time I have taken it in for repair on the same issue,
UPDATE- According to the dealer there was a recall on CERTAIN CRV VIN NUMBERS, but not all (weird but whatever) saying to replace the AC control unit. This should "fix" the issue of the dashboard warning lights all coming on. Attached is the service bulletin. Link to Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/d781a8kzketu8hd/AAAwuuLfUJBhSdqua_KRShuna?dl=0 We were lucky enough to have an extended warranty, so it cost us a $100, otherwise our bill would have been $444.45 in Omaha, NE. Let's see if this fixes the issue!
Hey Mark, thanks for the update but now I'm more confused than ever - talk about weird, I'm pretty sure Honda replaced the AC control on our 2018 CRV as part of the solution to the gas diluting the oil in cold climates problem. I'm glad I haven't had the dash lights issue (knock on wood) but I suppose its possible that having the AC control replaced for the diluted oil may have pre-empted it. Definitely weird.
After 4 times to dealer for same issue (All Dashboard Warning Lights On) the dealer replaced my AC control unit and then replaced my Fuel Injectors. So far no problems!! We will see.
Guru9ZH99V answered 4 years ago
Sounds like we had all the same problems and attempted solutions. Ours was not fixed until we got new spark plugs. Go figure.
Funny you should say that Jgoody48, the day after replacing the AC control unit all of the dashboard lights came back on, weird. Back to the dealership we went, THIS time however the car coded cylinder #4 wasn't preforming correctly. Currently we are getting new fuel injectors and if that doesn't solve the issue, then they will be working on the values. The mechanic explains the issue like the car is a big computer. If something goes wrong somewhere the electronics go to "safe" mode. Lets see what happens when we get it back. Cool part is we sure are learning a lot about Honda's!
Guru9Z6JGV answered 4 years ago
Thanks to all for the insights. My 2017 CR-V was idling when all the dash lights came on and it began cycling though all the diagnostics (brake problem, engine problem, etc). Based on your suggestions, I removed the ground cable from the battery and saw there was the slightest bit of corrosion (really, was barely perceptible but just the faintest bit of white on the terminal). So I cleaned it and the positive terminal, hooked everything back up and about 100 feet into my next drive, all the lights went back off. It's been a week and so far so good. It's nice to know it not truly a car or electrical/computer issue...was just a weak connection.
Having same exact problems as garru. Last month in mn got hit by deer and extensive front damage But able to drive. Lights, hood, grill all replaced. Thought maybe it was wiring to those ?
Sooooo, the final answer is? After the last fix, the issue continued. When I got back to the shop I really dug into a few people to help me understand why this isn't fixed. According to our dealer, honda follows a service procedure starting with the simplest fixes first. That makes sense. In our case, the final solution to our issue of the warning lights coming on was a bad fuel injector. What would make ALL of the dashboard lights come on then? With the car so computerized, one fatal error triggers all other error warnings since the first one could cause so many other problems elsewhere so the whole thing lights up like a christmas tree. Since the replacement of the fuel injectors we have not had any issues. We had an extended warranty luckily. The cost to replace the fuel injectors was $1100.00. The notes from the mechanic are as follows: "Found code P0304. Ran cylinder A/F test twice and all cylinders failed rich both times. Swapped plug and coil from CYL 4 to 3 and misfire did not move. Searched Tech Line and found 6 hits for people replacing injectors for this issue. Replaced injectors and now misfire is gone." Hope this helps.
Hey Mark, THANKS! You provided an interesting explanation and insights into the frustrations that so many customers have. Maybe Honda should have a line of simple cars that are easier for both them and the customer to understand. A key works just fine and won't accidently open my windows and moon roof to soaking overnight rains. Given smart phones features, I could just as easily use it for navigation... Beside when our 2018 CRV manuals run: a) 140 pages for the Navigation Manual. b) 673 pages for the Owners Manual c) 39 pages for the Warranty Information d) 170 pages for the Owners Guide (the abridged version that comes with the car.) They scream TOO DARN COMPICATED! Thanks again for the explanation - it doesn't resolve the frustration but it is nice to have a better grasp of the heck is going on.

All (same) dash lights on. On my case. Is ABS Speed Sensor problem cause my dash a lot of light on. After replace the sensor Behind the wheel. Problem solved. My case: happening at the high way 1st time - when I drive at the high way, after I turn of the car off the light gone. 2nd time - next day drive at the high way the light come on again. Turn off again. After 5-6times I turn off the Engine not help anymore, the lights keep stay on. But I know when I drive 30+ speed at not flat road the right will come on. Its ABS Speed Sensor problem cause it. Drive over 4months no more this problem again. For some of other case the has “Engine light” maybe battery’s or other problem. I don’t had engine light in my case.

I have the same problem. All of my warning light light up like a Christmas tree. I lose my adaptive, cruise control, lane assist, collision mitigation, and brake system lights all lit. The lights stay on for a day or two and then everything starts working again. I took it to the dealer and they told me that there were no error codes lol. I am frustrated.

2017 Honda CRV..This has now happened twice. First time I took it to a local repair shop where they reset something. Everything was fine, until today. My problem is, being a former ride share driver, I have over 150,000 miles. I can’t afford to have Honda charge a gazillion dollars just to take a look and tell me nothing is wrong, or find something wrong and charge even more money. Suggestions?
I had a problem with my Honda crv 2019. All warning lights was turned on. I did the car washed and everything back to normal. I know maybe something wrong with the sensor.
Guru9Y2CSL answered 3 years ago
Interesting concept. I don’t get it washed too often, but I’ll be sure to take note of it next time, My car has over 152,000 miles, how could it be under warranty?
Guru9WX77S answered 3 years ago
Mine isn’t the warning lights it’s the dash lights are on and suddenly they dim so much I can’t see how fast I’m going Went to Honda and was talking to a man that works in service and he looked at me like I was crazy (I am a female not that means anything) and then said it shouldn’t be doing that and that was all. I looked at him and thought you shouldn’t be working here. I don’t think he knew any more than I did.
A year after I bought my brand new 2018 CRV I had the same problem with all dash lights come on. The issue resolved within days right before I got to the dealership, so they couldn’t diagnose the problem. I figured it has something to do with the cold weather. All the lights went back on again this winter at least twice in the past month. About a month ago, my husband was driving the car on the highway and it started breaking on him which almost caused a huge accident!!!! The third time, a few days ago, all the lights went on again and I immediately took the car to the dealer. They now claim it’s the injectors so I’m waiting to see if Honda would pick up the charge (although it’s just past it’s 50K mileage warranty) or if I have to pay for it myself, but it seems like so many people are having this problem and I hope this gets recalled. Hopefully Honda will not wait until people start dying in car accidents caused by these computer issues or whatever is going on. I also have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and it’s been running beautifully with well over 100,000 miles on it. We bought the CRV with all the safety features with the intention that this would be our safe family car, but instead I dread driving it and fear for our safety with this recurring issue. If Honda does not address this issue I will spend my next $30,000 elsewhere when shopping for a car.

So tonight I went to start my 2018 CRV and when I did all of the lights started flashing. Dashboard, side mirror, inside lights. The car would not start. I am not sure what the problem is. Maybe the battery is dead but it seems strange that all of the lights would flash if the battery was dead.

I went through the same scenario outlined in a lot of these posts. The Brake light comes on, then the Power Steering light, then the Stability Control. Eventually it was aht AWD light and finaly the Check Engine light started flashing and the engine was misfiring. Mine was caused by a squirrel taking up residence under my hood and chewing through ignition wire #2.

After 2 trips to the dealer, the lights are back on again! (blinking red PARK light, Check Engine light and the P! Electronic brake warning. Each time I was told fuel cap caused it, then a module was replaced etc. Seeing these replies looks like it's time to get the fuel injectors replaced.

I drive a Honda CR-V 2018 with less than 26000 milages with the same issue as others explained. So far, I've taken the car to dealerships three times. The first two times, dealerships were not able to diagnose the issue at all, they updated the system, the signals went off for a few days with the same recurrent scenario. The third time, the dealership remarked "Fuel Injector" as the source of the problem, asking for $1450 to replace it (my car is out of three years of factory warranty for a few weeks now). When I requested an explanation why the fuel injector was diagoisted as the source of the problem without providing any code, the chief mechanic said they're trying various solutions and like to start by replacing the fuel injector. I also contacted Honda Corporate customer service. The assistant told me that they have received several complaints with the same issue, but provided no solution. I'm taking my car to another Honda dealership to see what they would say.
We own a 2018 Honda CRV and have experienced the dashboard Christmas tree effect on two different occasions prior to the current one. Our CRV is currently at the local Honda dealership getting looked at. My wife is to the point if we experience this one more time without a clear explanation, the Honda will traded in for something else just like our 2013 Ford F-150 Ecoboost. She doesn't mess around with having to deal with this type of situation when buying a new car. We will post an update once we know more.

We own a 2019 CRV. Everything lit up on the dash. I called the dealer and was told it's safe to drive until I can get an appointment. Today I filled the gas tank and now everything is OK. Then I happened to remember that my 2002 Hyundai Elantra would always set the check engine light when the gas cap was not tight. Could it be that the cap-less gas filler on the CRV may not always seal tight???
Guru9Z6JGV answered 3 years ago
Had the same issue with my 2017 CR-V. I found that I could get the system to reset by removing the NEGATIVE battery cable and then reconnecting it. After driving the car about 1/4 mile, the dash would clear. That typically lasted anywhere from several days to several weeks. By the way, the car drives fine with the lights flashing, but the adaptive cruise control, lane departure, etc won't work. After many months of popping the negative cable, my wife became a bit impatient that we should actually get it fixed. So next I tried replacing the battery based on some posts on here. Battery tested fine, but figured for $150 (AAA has the best battery prices!) I figured it was a cheap fix. No luck. So off to the dealer I went with all the lights flashing. Strangely, when they started the car, no flashing lights or bells. It had never "cleared itself" before. Anyhow, that only lasted a few hours. So they suggested a fuel system and injector clean and a few other things. not pricey. But that didn't work. Lights came back on. So back I went. They had their "top" mechanic (whatever that means) spend about 40 mintues with his lapstop doing all kinds of diagnostics. They tested my gas and said it was 7% methanol which shouldn't be the problem since the car is designed to take up to 10%, but they wanted me to get gas at a "high turnover" gas station in case I was using old gas...which I knew I wasn't. Anyhow, they also decided that this was somehow related to the "Oil Dilution" recall and replaced all the injectors...under warranty. Not the normal warranty, must be a recall warranty because the car had 57,000 miles at the time. It's been 3 months and over 6000 miles (yeah...was a busy summer). So far so good. Hope this posting does not jinx it!
I have 2017 CRV-EX and I've been having this problem ever since Covid started (when I stopped driving it and it sat for days on end vs. driving it at least 50 miles a day 4 days a week). Dealer cleaned the fuel injectors once which worked for a bit but all the lights eventually came back on. I cancelled one follow up because it stopped the day before the appt and I was scheduled to have an appt tomorrow and it once again it stopped today. This time I realized that I had let the gas tank go almost to empty (7 miles!) which is very unlike me. So gas tank is almost empty and it stops. Filled it up and it's still good. Husband and I start thinking maybe it's something with the gas sitting for too long. Reading Guru9Z6JGV's message from a week ago makes me think we're on to something. What does everyone else think?
OK here is what we found on our 2017 CRV......We had the exact same issus, xmas tree all over the dash. Changed batteries, still happened, all 4 fuel injectors went and the dealer said that could have been the problem also, fuel injectors went again after 6 months, still lights came on eventually....OK heres the good part.....on vacation in Utah when the battery dies, had a gear head check things out and he said he had the same issue with a friends car. There is a ground on the firewall behind the battery area. Only ground for the entire car. The firewall is painted BEFORE they attach the ground wire. He took off the wire, sanded the paint off the body where it connects and sanded the ground connection. Hasnt happened since. We have tried everything looking fo this problem and I think we have found the cause. Not enough ground connection. Hope this helps everyone else.

This forum was very helpful to me, so I want to share my experience with a 2018 CRV. One morning, the instant I started it, all the warning lights came on and stayed on. The dealer said they couldn't find a cause but they reset it. Two months later, one morning the moment I started the car all the lights came on again. This time the dealer said the diagnosis was a problem with cylinder 4. Like some others have reported, the technician suggested testing the injectors by switching them and see if the same cylinder was the problem. Or just replacing all the injectors. I was contemplating this, but remembered the tech had asked if the battery had died recently or been replaced (it hadn't), I also remembered him saying that a sudden drop in battery voltage might cause the problem. The car was running fine--no vibration, no loss of power, so the cylinder explanation didn't seem that plausible to me. I also remembered that with newer cars, the battery does not just gradually fail like in the old days when you could hear the starter motor straining. One day it starts fine, and the next, nothing. And my car and battery were already 3 1/2 years old and the battery had been completely discharged once. So I decided to just replace the battery, since it probably didn´t have much remaining life and I was about to go on a trip. So far, no more problem. Like others have said, we'll see. Thanks to all.
Ed92626, enjoy your posts because I frequently learn from them. The fuel injector solution has been bugging me and I finally figured out/remembered why. Several decades ago we purchased a new Volvo 240 wagon. That car had fuel system issues (while under warranty.) If my memory is correct it starting running really rough and wouldn't accelerate and I think they replaced the air mass meter and maybe the injectors. I also recall a recommendation to ad a bottle of Techron to the gas tank periodically (don't recall the schedule.) Anyway, now we're using only top tier gas but thinking back - we always bought the cheapest gas we cound find. I can't help but wonder if the injector problem/solution might actually relate to injectors getting fouled by contaminated/bargain gas... Based on your experience, is this something to consider with the dashboard issues? (Guru9Z6JGV's and GuruDD3J8'S answers got me wondering, too.)
Had o-ring in fuel pump replaced as a mechanic had crimped it during fuel pump recall replacement. Seems to have fixed the problem. Honda 2018 CRV LX AWD 17xxx miles.

Really interesting ... this all happened to my 2017 Honda CRV today (on a Sunday), while I was just idling waiting to get the car washed. Called the dealer who said "sweetie" I'm just a sales guy, make an appointment. I instead went to Tires Plus (the only open place), they plugged something in, reset it, and the lights went out. BUT the radio doesn't work. Looks like I'll have to take it in. Thanks for all the stories -- I have taken notes to discuss.

I have a Honda CRV AWD 2017. I am facing a similar issue. All of a sudden all warning lights turned on and remain on for some time (few minutes, hours, days) and then all of these warning vanishes away. This is happening randomly but after getting battery changed just 2 months back it is more frequent now. Tried to contact Honda USA over email, but they redirected me to local Honda dealers. When I visited a Honda dealer for this issue 3 weeks back, they told to leave the car with them and they will check when this issue will occur. I told them this is random issue and not sure that how long it will take to show up again. So I am feeling that Neither Honda USA nor Honda dealers are serious to handle this issue. Can anyone please share what can be done to get this issue resolved. Is there any petition/court case going on which one can join? Thanks.
Have had the issue with all dash lights flashing for close to 3 years now. Brought to Honda dealerships 8+ times, all for the same issue. Main issue is all of the safety functions that are overridden when the lights come on, in addition to not being able to have cruise control. Never fixed, either shoulder shrugs, replacing fuel injectors, A/C control unit etc... never actually fixing the vehicle. Have been in contact with American Honda (who I may add has the worst customer service departments around) for 2 years. Always been told "Bring back to the dealership, we need them to look." When I would bring it and the same issue occurred, oh we need you to bring it back would be the response. I finally heard back about a buyback request- -I was denied. I am close to selling the lemon out of pure frustration, but can't bear to see Honda getting away with selling me a lemon without recourse. Has anyone had success with a recall / lawsuit / successfully had any way to recoup value from a defective CRV?

I visited Honda service and they suggested replacing fuel injectors to solve this issue. Has anyone also got it diagnosed by Honda servicing and got the same remedy for this problem?
2017 CRV 56k miles (warranty expires at 60k) All dash lights on a week ago. Dealer replaced a chip or two and updated software. All codes cleared and it's been fine since. Problem reoccurred just now. They are replacing fuel injectors and I will follow up after.
Fuel injectors are not covered under warranty. Honda did allow for a 60% off since I was under 60k miles so I'm going to be out of pocket around $410 for the new fuel injectors. I asked about preventing this from reoccurring and was told to use fuel additive every 5-7k miles.
Robert, don't know how closely you've read the posts on this thread but guru wereiartm's experience/comment with the bad ground caught my attention - if it happens to be the root of your problem it would be a quick and easy fix. Good luck, hope you get it fixed soon
Thanks. I've asked them to check for a bad ground as well. I'm kind of out of luck at this point as it could be either but the car is having a hard time starting which leads me to believe that it could be the fuel injectors which need to be replaced every 50-100k miles anyway.
I just had this happen and so far they did the ac recall but it appears my turbo is either had in internal failure or is clogged up...ill know more today I had 3 codes..2 cylinders misfiring and the turbo charger malfunction
Turbine in the turbo was completely destroyed so yay... 700 miles outside of warrenty....warranty.... will seeif honda bites

FOUND A SOLUTION! Just had this problem. 2018 Honda CRV. Every warning light came on. Looked on YouTube for additional solutions, after reading everything above and the frequent mention of fuel injector replacements, etc. Found this EASY solution (completely FREE, no fuel injector replacements), and it ACTUALLY WORKED: 1) Turn on vehicle WITHOUT pressing brake. This will put your vehicle into Accessory Mode. Power on, but engine not running. 2) Do a hard system reboot. Press and hold the power/audio button until you are prompted to reboot. Press YES. 3) Let system reboot completely. Honda logo will disappear after a minute or two, and your regular dash display will appear. 4) After it has completely rebooted in Accessory Mode, THEN press brake and start vehicle. Warning lights should be gone! I just tried this. It worked. Was seriously surprised, but it actually worked. Will see if the warning lights appear again in a day or two. But fingers crossed! Good luck! FYI: YouTube link with this solution: https://youtu.be/quVsqSUaBRQ

The reboot doesnt work. I tried it twice.I have the christmas lights on my dashboard for 2 days now. I have read all the different fixes online and nothing works. I had the Tire pressure low on my dash board twice when I change my tires. Tire pressure was perfectly fine but the alarm on the dash refused to go away until one day it just disappeared. When the "christmas lights" came on I panicked and started reading all the problems online. What works for one person one time doesnt work for another next time so there is no fix for this problem.Nobody knows what the actual cause of the problem is. Did I buy a car for $ 30000 that has a serious computer problem nobody knows how to fix?
Hello Guru9QB3J, Sorry to hear you are experiencing Christmas in February. All newer car owners have entered the insane (and undisclosed) reality of having purchased a computer on wheels. It sucks because the computers in our cars are about as 'reliable' and user friendly as the one on your desk. Heck the owner's documentation (owner's manual, navigation manual, and warranty info) on our 2018 tops our at about 850 pages. Electronics/Computers now seem to control everything. From your posting, it is clear that you rebooted twice and that didn't work. Heck, it was worth a try (and one of the reasons a computer help desk will have you reboot your computer is because, rebooting is quick, easy, and frequently 'works' by resolving the symptoms.) If the reboot had worked you, other forum members (myself included) would be thrilled to know there was a potential quick and easy fix! Absent from your post is any information about the car itself. Year, make, model, maintenance and ownership background, gas usage (bargain or top tier), general location/climate and which, if any of the other solutions you tried. The reason I'm bringing this up is that type on information might ultimately reveal patterns or similar trends. This forum potentially would be much more helpful if it revealed a pattern in the failures. So, I believe you are the 1st to report tire pressure warnings as potentially tied to the Christmas tree nightmare, can you put those warnings into a time frame for us? Was it days. weeks, months before the Xmas tree? Likewise, just how long was it before long before the tire pressure warning disappeared? (I recently replaced the chronically leaking alloy rims on my 2010 Insight with new steel rims and sensors - it seemed like it took forever for the TPMS warning to go off. It was actually only 2 or 3 local trips but that flashing warning drove me nuts.) Hope th
This site, the questions and most importantly the answers have been helpful to me in my quest to find out what to do about the dash light situation. My story...purchased a new CrV ex back in 2017 with extended warranty. Never a problem until now. Same situation as others- all lights on and no safety features are usable, no cruise control, no remote start, steering wheel isn't 100% and gas consumption is off. I Immediately scheduled appointment with my dealer. Before going I started to research online and came across the possibility of needing a new battery. Stopped by AZ, they said the battery was bulging and needed replace. It was the original battery and old, so I replaced it. It worked! The lights went off but only for a short time - maybe a week. Thinking it might be the connections on the battery I disconnected the terminals, cleaned them off, waited and reconnected - worked, all lights off and all features back on. One day later - dash lights on again! Ugh. At the same time got a code stating I needed an oil change and radiator flush. Went to service station, got change and flush and all light off again - great! That same night I left work and lights on again. Research again to fine how to reboot using the radio - that worked for a day or two. Next day was my visit with the dealer. He hooked it up to the computer and found one error. (I can't remember what the error was, but could recall it seemed highly unrelated to my issue). The only thing I can remember is the car had to cool down to a specific temperature before they could conduct the test. Whatever it was it passed inspection. No other code tripped. After hooking things back up they checked and all lights were off again and safety systems back on. I left happy but unsure how long I'd be before the lights would come back on. It took just one day. The mechanic explained to me that it's several computer systems working independently but connected to one another. If one small thing trips, the system shuts down to protect itself. I get that and It makes sense to me but you think their computer could hone in on the spicific culprit so it could be fixed. Where I'm at currently - it's been a week now and my next appointment with the dealer is in two days. With more research I decided to use top tier gas and a reccomended fuel injector additive. Just today as I was driving around, bam! all lights off and all systems back up. Woohoo! I even pulled over to turn the car off and restart to see if I was dreaming. No, everything was as it should be, that is until leaving work tonight... no, they're back on again. I am researching again. I am worried about what I read on here and other sites. The fact that some people are having break issues where the car just suddenly stops. I'm fearful of THAT and the fact I have no safety mitigation. But as the dealer said..."you still have a functional vehicle". This is true, but because of no "high tech safety" I have to be even more cautious. The fuel additive and top tier gas I've tried along with everyone's discussion of fuel injectors makes me think this is my next route. I've never used injector cleaner and in just one afternoon it fixed itself...if only for a short while. So, along with new injectors I'll be sure to have them check the ground connection. If not, then I'll go on to plan C, or is it D...I forget. I do appreciate this site and the discussions/responses. I'll be sure to follow back up.
Hey James, That's one roller coaster of a ride! Hope you see this before your injector appointment. I've been following this thread for a year or so because if it happens to our 2018 CRV Touring I want to be prepared. My cheapest hope and prayer is: A) replace battery - we're still on original, live in WI. and while the old battery is out disconnect and insure a good ground. B) A bottle of,Techron. I see that the link I posted (about a year ago) to car complaints and that referenced grounding no longer works... So here's a different link to copy and paste (I don't know how to include a hyperlink, sorry.) It is to to the CRV owners club on this topic: https://www.crvownersclub.com/threads/christmas-tree-on-the- dashboard.218515/ .A lot of the discussion focuses on cost warranty options/hopes/prayers. But be sure to check out post #26 dated 9/17/21 - sounds like the poster, wereiartm, has been there/done that. As bonus points, poster CRv21 chimes in on post #28 with pictures. I'm not a mechanic or electrical engineer - but if I start seeing christmas trees in the car, but I'd be comfortable removing the battery and cleaning the ground up, Heck, that tube of dielectric grease that I use on the mower's (temperrmental) lights just might come in handy! Good luck if finding a resolution.

Man this is frustrating... 2017 CR-V, EX, 1.5, 58,000miles Dec 2021, had two new front tires, front left wheel bearing replaced, new battery as it was starting slow in the cold. A week later the first light show happened, but not every start. If they came on, then they stayed on until it was parked again. It would go days between without any faults, then it would pop back up. Eventually became more consistent. Since I had a new battery, I disconnected it, cleaned the terminal, let it sit, then reconnected it. Once I drove it up to 35ish mph the lights cleared. That lasted a couple weeks then it started again. Plugged into a generic OBD reader and had back 2 rich, and cyl 2 misfire. This past weekend I got the battery tested, interstate, and it failed. Alternator shows 14.2 volts, so that seems good. Got a new battery on warranty, and changed the spark plugs. That lasted 3 days, now all the lights are back on. I think next I'll try to get the shop that did the tires to reset the TPMS. That is the only light that blinks when all them come on. I have the AWD light blink once, and the during that drive only the front wheels were being powered. Also try premium fuel and and an injector cleaner, see if that helps.

I have a 2018 CRV and am also experiencing the Christmas tree dashboard just a week ago We live in Colorado - been very cold here lately which seems to be a factor. It started when we were on the highway and attempting to set cruise control, which also seems to be one of the potential triggers (using cruise control). Cruise control had been working up until then, but then all the lights came on, and it wouldn't work. So now we are going to try the less costly suggestions posted here as replacing the battery and fuel injectors seems to be a hit or miss solution. Will try re-setting, will try fuel additive, will try sanding the ground wire connection. It seems thousands have this problem as stated here and on crvowners.com and we have yet to find a solution. Honda's lack of response is very disappointing. This will be my last Honda purchase.

I've been dealing with this B.S. for 3 months now. I have taken it to the dealership 3 times. The first two times they reset something only for me to come back in a week. Last week they replace something in the AC. They said that should do it. Yup, it di nothing. The lights were off for 3 whole days. Now they are saying I need to leave my car there for a week so Honda Corporate technicians can take a look at it. I feel like I've been bent over and they aren't even lubing me up. I'm so frustrated. I have file a complaint with the Honda Corporation and NHTSA too.
I have a 2018 CRV EX and just have all those dashboard warnings on. Car only 7,000 miles with short trips. Tried everything in this board and nothing worked. Just check front of crv and realize a hole in the front and radar either fell off or missing with electrical wire detached. Sure that’s causing all the warnings.

Hi all, I'm going to add my experience here since I have had the christmas tree dash scenario on 2 different CRV EX models. I have owned this year. My first CRV was a 2019 and I saw the x-mas tree at about 130k miles in Dec 2021. I live in the upper midwest and when they first occurrence happened it was while I was going 80mph+ with my cruise on at maybe 10 degrees outside. I did not have the econ mode selected and I used regular unleaded gas from busy gas stations (not likely gas that has sat around for a bit). I am a high mileage commuter, I put on minimum 150 miles a day and total 40k+ miles a year. When my first CRV had this happen, I took it in to the dealership without doing any research on solutions myself. That vehicle had a history of issues with wiring due to the little critters in my garage. Lights on my dash was nothing new for me and I had already spent a couple thousand dealing with the repercussions of mice damage on this and other vehicles. The dealership told me that my dash lite up due to increased intake of powdery snow. It supposedly filled my engine filter and melt/froze over something that triggered the x-mas tree lights. They cleared the codes and sent me on my way. Soon after this visit the issue reoccurred, and my car eventually was to the point it was not idling right. Thinking it was going to be a long and expensive uphill battle looking for the latest mice damage, I traded cars. My second CRV is also a 2019 and this vehicle had been turned in from a lease from someone else in my state. I got this CRV in Feb 2022 and this weekend (June 2022) while driving the x-mas tree dash happened. It was 90 degrees outside, I had my cruise set at 65mph, I did have it in econ mode, and it was a dirt storm that was blizzard like conditions (never saw that before). I am currently at about 50k. I have read a few forums and did the troubleshooting I could last night. I checked my battery and found one the of the posts had quite a bit of corrosion. I cleaned it up with baking soda/water. I did a reboot in accessory mode, this cleared some of the codes. While under the hood I checked my air filter. The dust storm did a number on it, and I’ll be replacing that today as well as picking up a bottle of Techron to add to my next tank of gas. When I left for work this morning, once I got rolling the codes cleared and have not yet reoccurred. I’ll update here if anything changes. I wanted to share this info since I had 2 CRVs of the same year and model that both had this happen in opposite weather temperatures. A few of the forums I read were questioning if there was a correlation to temp and occurrence.
So we had the "christmas light dashboard warning" problem start a couple of weeks ago on our 2017 CRV. I tried the fix where I made sure the battery ground cable had a better connection...and it worked for a day or so. But then we noticed that it only happened when my wife was driving the car. She was also getting a fob battery low message....replaced that and the issue hasn't happened again. I still don't quite believe that was actually the issue, but it's worth a CR2032 to find out.
Guru92VMQG answered 2 years ago
2014 CRV. My wife had to do a panic stop as someone didn't look and pulled out right in front of her. This is when the lights all came on. I figured it had something to do with ABS system. They mostly went off and on when she was driving it. (her daily driver) and not when I was driving it for some time anyways. One day at work the battery just died without warning. I went, load tested and checked battery, which would only show 9+ volts and failed load test, so i replaced battery and cleaned connections slightly as I didn't have proper tools and cleaners with me. They have since been thoroughly cleaned, battery and alternator retested, ground tested (voltage drop). Gonna get a newer Code reader as my old one couldn't read this vehicle. It is an intermittent thing. sometimes they're on sometimes not. One thing that I've noticed in several posts that this occurs or is more persistent after the battery has been replaced. This one also has the noisy startup cam advancer deal which Honda also hasn't really done anything about. I've owned a lot of Honda products (Motorcycles, ATVs, mowers etc. This will be our first and most likely our last Honda auto. Seems that Honda, it's dealers or technicians can resolve this automotive issues like they do in their other divisions.

Just got this condition. All the lights come on, ABS, brake system, ACC, LKAS, etc. The most worrysome, probably a false positive, is the all wheel drive system overheating. I swapped the battery and the issue goes away after you drive for a bit, but then came back the next time we started the car. 1. I will drive around more to see if the issue goes away. Only drove maybe 10 miles after the battery replacement. 2. I will try improving the ground connection - measured fine, 3 ohms, but I'll clean it anyway. 3. Change the remotes batteries? Someone mentioned that above...as crazy as it seems, I've seen weirder things. Right now when I start the car, when I try to shut it off before even driving it tells me I have to "press the button 2x....etc" -- this message should be only showing up when you try to shut the car off in motion, which leads me to believe that it's some sort of speed sensor (perhaps abs speed sensor) that is causing all this for me at least. What a pain.
hondaseparate answered 2 years ago
Update on my issue: I pulled the codes again via the tool I have and I have a C0037(f0) and U0416(68) -- the first one is "left rear wheel sensor" so my hunch was right. A failing speed sensor makes sense in the context of all of these warning lights coming up. The problem seems to come up somewhat more often when the car just turns on, but after driving for a while, things go away as if the sensor gets better. It's probably in the process of failing or there's a short or open in there or something.
hondaseparate answered 2 years ago
I got a replement sensor+harnass, the only issue that removing the original part (abs sensor) went poorly. I tried drilling it out / using a screw to get it out, but failed and now it's going to the dealer. I'm not entirely comfortable taking apart the (knuckle?) to tap out the sensor from the inside. That's a bit of a too big of a job. Will report back if it actually fixes my issue.

Replaced the abs speed sensor, helped my situation.
2017 CRV with extended warrant. Had issues with dashboard lights after a long trip where I had almost used up all the gas, probably less than 50 miles to spare. Took it to the dealership and was told it was a battery issue. Battery was charged and everything worked well. Same thing happened a few weeks later and was again told it was a battery. This time I bought a new one. A few weeks later, same issues with the light again, bought another battery since they said it was again an issue with the battery. I ended up buying 3 new batteries and still was having the same issues with the dashboard lights along with the car having a rough start in the morning, shakes, feels like not enough gas, running at 3 cylinders rather than 4. I happened to have an OBD reader as I to do my own maintenance on older cars without the computers. I got a code of P0301, cylinder 1 misfire . I had told this to the service advisors even after the first visit. Instead I was told transmission fluid needed replacement, along with regular oil change, and due for an alignment. Over $700 of this services, the lights and starting issues still occurs. This time I spoke with the manager and told him that I had changed the spark plugs and was still having the issues and the next step would be to check the fuel injectors since I felt foreign material may have clogged the fuel injector in cylinder 1, he agreed. Also, when I had changed the spark plugs it was obvious the cylinder 1 spark plug was bad, different from the others, burnt all the way down rather than just the tip. This last visit they changed the fuel injectors after again changing the spark plugs, got code P0304 per receipt. Luckily, I had the extended warranty, otherwise final bill was over $1200. It’s been a week and so far have no issues. Having second thoughts buying a Honda again, will probably avoid them next time even though this is my third Honda. My 2009 Civic is still running strong with me doing my own maintenance and repairs.
itsmetheCRV answered 2 years ago
After all the issues above, I ended up replacing the fuel injectors. 10k miles later and its still going strong. I have learned some things about the direct injection engines, and recommended cleaning intervals. Because the fuel isn't being injected into the manifold then over the valves the intake valves get horribly dirty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aosVjpcBzZo Plan on doing this every 10k now. Going to try and borrow a scope and check out the back of the intake valves

2017 HONDA bought and driven in Florida for 4 years not a problem. Moved back to Sweden Dec 2021 and took the Honda with me. After a few month the christmas light scenario occurred. The car was not driven much maybe a few miles every week to the store back and forth. We kept it on a battery charger due to the cold weather in the winter and the fact that I did not drive it alot.I did the reboot without luck and my brother disconnected the battery which fixed the problem. No more problem until July again during summer all warning lights on. I was able to reboot and fix it. No problem for a few weeks and then it happened again. I took it to a mechanic and he was able to remove the lights but also told me the computer was able to tell him the car at one occasion was not running on all cylinders which I had noted, It last for a few minutes only. I stopped the car and restarted it and it was running fine. He told me to come back if the problem came back. The car was running fine for several month and today Dec 25th all lights came on again. Yes I had just put gas in the car but I don't believe that had nothing to do with it. Yes its cold -5 F today but this happened in the middle of the summer on several occations. There is no pattern and there is no fix. Im taking it to the dealer this week and will give you and update.

Ok. I'll jump in. 2018 CRC EX-L , April 2, 2023 (palm sunday!). Wife called and said all the dashboard lights were lit up. Told her to shut off and restart, no change, She decided to drive home anyway, and called a few minutes later to say everthing was normal. Sounds like a low battery condition but it started without any trouble. When she got home, i looked over the battery terminals and found a wee bit of corrosion build up, and when i disconected the battery terminal, it was not terribly clean. so i wire brushed the terminal (positive) and reconnected. Read a slightly higher voltage (12.01 after vs 11.99 b4). SO here is my theory. In the good old days, when you start your car, a whole bunch of current is pulled, which burns through much of the corrosion. Todays cars being more gas and electrically efficient (smaller starter motors), likely don't pull near the same amount of current, so corrosion builds up, and since the computer only pulls (wild guess) less than a .1 amps when the car is "off", the battery connection can become resistive quickly, and so the voltage that actually gets to the computer falls below the minimum level, and the computer goes wonky. Once the car is started and burns through the corrosion, and the charger is running, everything gets satisfactory voltage, the computer resets itself and Voila, Christmas is over!. We also bought gas at a Quik trip that we don't normally stop at (Wife states she NEVER buys Quik Trip Gas!, so of course it's all my fault), so also could be we got bad gas which possibly causes the "Fuel injector" issue. I'll run some fuel cleaner through as well and let you know if we have any more problems. But i would Definitely check your battery terminals for corrosion.

Follow up note to post of 4/2/2023. After disconnecting the battery and cleaning, when i restarted the car it did the same thing (all the warning messages) then cleared up on it's own. Several starts aftweward were problem free. Lends credence to the fact that the system is actually resetting itself when this happens due to loss of power, so i really think the grounding stud mentioned earlier by others, or simply the battery terminal corrosion is the culprit. BTW My CRC has about 50K miles. We had to have the battery replaced after only 2 years also (under warranty) due to failing requireing jump starts. Might be related but doubt it.
Had the same problem….. All ambers up and scrolling. First alarm to report was right rear speed sensor. Will update.

Had the “Christmas lights” problem intermittently since the past 18 months. Has been to the local honda dealer 2 times and all they did was change the oil. About a year ago had severe misfiring and stalling which was resolved after a bad spark plug change. Now all the lights are on again and won’t go away… Honda dealer diagnosed with all fuel injectors rich and require replacement , quote of $2000 . Worst part is the fuel injectors are back ordered as honda is not supplying them… so have to get on a waitlist till the parts arrive. Took it to a local workshop and came back with the same diagnosis. This is a problem which has been affecting so many honda owners and honda just doesn’t want to address it. This is the last honda I will ever buy… and if the parts don’t arrive in a week or two the only option left is to just trade this CRV and get another car.
This problem started only after we replaced the battery. We have taken out the battery and put it back in, but the problem persists. We used the scanner to find the codes and reset them. That was on Saturday. The warning lights turned off except for the one that shows the oil needs to be changed. Fast-forward to today, Tuesday and ALL the warning lights are flashing again. I have made an appointment with the dealership and I have resigned myself to paying since the warranty has run out. I still think Honda should pay for this repair. It seems their engineering is causing the safety issue, for this is what it is. I have filed a complaint with the NHTSA as was suggested in this thread. I hope more people file this complaint.
Sharing my experience too. Living in Oregon, very great temperatures these days in summer. One day seeing the "Christmas tree" light, take my 2018 CR-V to the local dealer where I do maintenance all time. Took about a week, that them to check and replaced the AC with a warranty. "Christmas tree" is gone and everything seems working. After driving for two weeks, the dashboard lights start again, but not as much as the "Christmas tree". Took my car back to the dealer, and this time they replace the fuel injector because it's a different issue they stated. I just got my car back, but I really don't know if I'm going to be replacing a battery or something with people who comment above. I'm lucky so far the dealer covers everything under warranty.

I’m having the same issue! A few days after my warranty expired ALL my warning lights lit up. I followed directions on a YouTube video and turned my car off and back on and drove a few miles, it stopped. Then a few weeks later it did it again, this time I did the same thing, it worked again. A few weeks later, it started again, this time it didn’t work, so I watched a new video and rebooted the system, that worked. Then a few DAYS later same thing, reboot didn’t work. I called Honda every time and they claimed they had literally NEVER had this complaint (liars obviously). They said it was probably the battery or a fuse. I had the battery and alternator checked several times, said both were perfect. The lights went off just as suddenly .A few months later, I hit a dog. The lights didn’t come on for a few weeks . Then it did it again. I called Honda again and they said I damaged a sensor when I hit the dog , even though it started over a year before hitting the dog. Then it started happening every other day and just as suddenly stop. Then two weeks ago my battery went dead so they replaced it, the lights went off. Then two days later they came back on and haven’t went off since. I took it to dealer and they said it’s the “electronic brake master cylinder “ which cost $1400 for the part alone and the work to fix it is $650. That doesn’t make sense to me because my brakes seem perfectly fine. I’m a female and I feel like the dealership is taken me for a ride. Please tell me if this seems reasonable. There is still a lot of corrosion on the terminals and some of my fuses are blown. HELP PLEASE! I don’t have over $2,000 for something that may not be necessary or even work.

I have a 2018 CRV which was a lease turn it with just under 36,000 miles on it when I purchased it. I have the issue with the the display of the entertainment system periodically going haywire where is gets brighter and darker and eventually goes black until you re- start the vehicle. I also have the Christmas lights on the dash and have had the spark plugs replaced, the fuel injectors replace, all air filters replaced, the main wiring harness replaced, the radar replaced and many mechanics scratching their heads. Frequently when all the lights are on when I start the vehicle up it doesn't run properly and has a top speed of about 10 mph until I shut the vehicle down and re-start it. I have owned a Honda CRV since 2004 and I'm quite frankly furious with Honda. I will be buying magnetic plaques in the shape of lemons to list every single warning light I receive all over my vehicle and a large 'caution Vehicle may suddenly have max speed of 10 mph' on the back. I will start a social media group to post my lemon vehicle photos and get other owners to join. I will continue to search for any and all class action lawsuits to join until I have my vehicle replaced with full function. Preferably not a Honda.

I have the same issue. Dealer says can't replicate issue and never seen it. I even video taped it happening. Just took it to a local shop and it is throwing and an ecm error code. My car is still under warranty but the dealership won't acknowledge the issue even with my video.
I had the fuel injectors replaced a year or two ago after this happened and it seems to solved. Dealer split the cost with me. No one is happy but it was fixed so that's what matters.

It's took me patience and a full year to resolve my own 'Christmas Tree Light Issue'. After trying most things in this editorial, I found an extra warning light came on ... the diesel particular filter light. I paid 395GBP to have it cleaned. At the same time the garage said all the lights you mentioned have gone out. The following day after the garage the DPF light came back on, but the christmas tree lights have stayed off. I chose to buy a phone app and dongle to access my system, an OBD. It cost 75 GBP, so a good quality one. I can now reset 15 lights easily. As I read about the DPF, you can regenerate by doing a consistent speed. I'd just come back from driving in France, so I suspect I didn't need to have a deep clean on the DPF as resetting the DPF warning light could have been all that was needed. Best advice is to buy a very good phone app and dongle that can reset some fault codes and see what happens :)

This just happened for the first time on our 2017 CRV EXL with 111k on it - right after we sold it to our daughter (still living at home, easily stressed). When we sold it to her we replaced it with a CPO 2020 CRV EX. I’m still within the window where I can buy an extended warranty on the 2020, reading this thread is convincing me do do so. Haven’t tried troubleshooting yet, will check back in with any findings.

Update - since this episode seemed to be triggered by the battery being drained, and since the battery was 4 years old, I started with that. Replaced the battery, addressed the corrosion on the positive terminal properly, cleaned and sanded the negative terminal strap where it connects to the battery. Success - for one day…..on to further investigation.

I'm having the same problem. 2018 CRV. I have had all the things happen that nohonda4m3 described above. My car would only go 10 mph on an interstate trip. They replaced fuel Injection kit to the tune of $2100 and a return 6 hour trip. Now it has happened again and the lights wouldn't go off so the battery is completely dead.

My 2018 CRV with 130,000 miles has started this. Seems like there is no answer. That's F@CKED UP.
Has anyone spoken to Honda corporate about this or has there been a class action n lawsuit regarding this problem? I don't understand why this isn't a national recall as I see that any people have this same issue. I used to be able to reset the "brain" by holding down the radio button, but that isn't working any longer. And now the Brake light flashes red Evan after I turn the car off. I have loved many a Honda car, but this might be the issues that drive me to another car brand. This is ridiculous.
2018 CRV all error lights on. First and only occurrence. Charging <2 yr old battery didn’t help. Resetting display console didn’t help. One YouTuber said just depressing brakes while driving would resolve. NOT! JGoody418 recommended starting car, putting in Drive w/foot on brake then turning off engine and restarting. Unable to restart in Drive, but once transmission was placed in Park, car restarted with all error lights clear! Hopefully errors don’t recur.

We've been struggling with all the warning lights coming on on our 2018 CR-V with 138,000 miles (TPMS, up-hlll assist, emergency brake, lane assist, adaptive cruise, even auto high beam, etc). I've read countless forums and tried everything suggested to get it fixed. Recently my mechanic read the codes and, based on a code related to camshaft position issues, he suggested that the timing chain may have stretched, or there may be sludge build-up that was causing sensors to not read properly. Well, before we "bit the bullet" on an expensive timing chain fix, I added an oil sludge removal product (505 CRO) and changed the oil. All the warning lights and check engine light went away. It's only been a few days, but it looks like that was the problem. I hope this helps someone else with this issue.
2017 CRV with 76,000 miles. We had the "Christmas Tree" problem and used to be able to override it by rebooting the radio until that stopped working and the lights stayed on for 4 days straight. I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts and they checked the cars computer and it said that the Power Control Module (PCM) needed to be reset, so I did that, which did not turn off the Christmas Tree. It also said that there was a misfire in Cylinder 1 (PO301). So I took it to Serramonte Honda and they had no idea what was causing the Christmas Tree. They took the car and looked it over and determined that the Injector Set needed to be replaced due to misfires. $1,700 later and the Christmas Tree has not returned since. Thank goodness for the extended warranty.
@Jeffrey Padia, looks like you posted this perhpaps two days ago. Could you tell me if this remedy solved the problem? We've been having the same problem for a couple of years now, but have refused to take it in to the dealership because the three delearships we spoke to have told us we would be responsible for payment out-of-pocket. Would you please post later, after some time has gone by to let us whether the fix lasts more than a couple of weeks? Thank you.
Shut OFF the vehicle. Turn on Accessory Mode ON (hit START button with OUT foot on break). Once screen is on, hold down the VOLUMN button until the screen reads "REBOOT" (takes a few seconds). Select "YES". When it's done rebooting, START the car. I just did it on my car. Fixed the problem. Sounds like Honda is not notifying us there is a recall on the computer system. Others have gotten it replaced for FREE at the dealer.
3 months after having the injectors repaired and we have NOT had the Christmas Tree issue return. Worth every penny.
@Jeffrey, thank you for the update. In fact, I just took my CRV in to my local dealership. I finally relented and took it in yesterday, 6/18/24. I decided to take it in because there is a case in my area's Superior Court and a jury verdict went AGAINST Honda in a case of a Honda Pilot. Although the problems in that case are not identical, there is enough similarity so I had kind of an idea what the problem is. The dealer told me the would do the diagnostic and it would be complimentary if the could not fix the car. Also, the intake technician told me the "computer would have a memory of every time all the warning lights came on". However, after they ran the diagnostic they found not record in the car's memory of any time at all that anything has been amiss. The tech told me my car's ready and nothing is wrong. They have not found anything in the diagnostic test and the lights have not light up at all. I then told them I have pics and videos of when all this is happening. I sent these to them and they decided to keep the car another day. Today I picked it up and again, they have not been able to find anything wrong at all. The car was driven 7 miles since I took it in, no warning lights came on. They did a "hard reset" of the audio system and everything is fine. I was not charged for the diganostic and the Repair Order remains open. We'll see.
Honda CRV 2018 - Let me add my story to the pile. So, I got a tire warning, and drove on it a couple of days as it didn't look to low, this caused the signal to spread and everything lit up. I filled my tires and I could no longer reset the TPRM settings, I reset the computer, no luck, I checked the battery cables, there was some corrosion, I cleaned that off, and was just about to pull the battery - which checked out to 94% - which is perfectly good, when I recalled I had bought one of those FixD things you plug in to get the error code ,and I wondered if I could clear the codes with that - and YES it worked, the only code that remained was the tire warning - so I was now about to recalibrate the TRPRM settings and WALLAH all the Christmas lights were gone. And the car was running great, all along, turns out that if you ignore a code it spreads to others.......and sort of forces you to see a dealer, if you don't have that little device I have - WOOHOO !!! Many monies SAVED !
