can navigation be added to 2018 honda crv

It would be more helpful to assume the asker is not an idiot. I, personally, would LOVE to have a redundant navigation system because my cell phone has a habit of hiding from me when I need it most. But paying for a $3000 upgrade seems silly, so I came to this forum to see what alternatives there are.

Very arrogant of Honda or any other auto manufacturer to assume everyone has a smartphone or unlimited data plan and therefore built-in navigation is not offered on the 2019 Honda CR-V EXL model. Dealership went on and on about this is the future (just like not offering CD players), everyone is doing this and that it save's the customer money because they won't need upgrades to maps which is a extra charge when new/upgraded maps become available. Same feature (built-in navigation) is standard equipment on the top of the line CR-V Touring model. Looking back on my 2019 CR-V EXL purchase, I should have walked away and considered other vehicles. If this is the future, how far away are we from Google Maps and similar apps becoming paid subscriptions?

I agree . Honda took advantage of buyers . Those who want nav should not buy Honda!

Built in navigation is built in obsolescence. Think about it!
