98 GT Mustang

Asked by JPGT Apr 28, 2017 at 01:00 PM about the 1998 Ford Mustang GT Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just purchased this car in January. A new fule pump was
put in by Auto Nation, where we purchased. Now when
the car gets hot it dies. If I let it cool off it will start for a
little while.  My mechanic says it needs a new computer.,
$500.  The guy that towed it in said it sounds like a crank
sensor. Has any one had this problem or have a
suggestion. Thanks for any help.

No, the check engine light never came on or it did not show hot. It just stopped running!
