Stalling

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Car was in an accident. It took out the passengers fender up to the window.
We replaced the in-take air system due to the original one got cracked.
Replaced the fender, bumper Bar as well as the bumper. The car starts fine.
As soon as the idle drops, the car stalls. Thought it was the BCM, replaced it,
still stalls. The column recognizes the key, anti-theft light goes out after a few
seconds. Need Help!!!

Will it immediately start back up after the stall....or do you need to do something (under the hood) to get it going again?
Sound like it could be a fuel system or ignition system issue....have you hooked it up to a OBD II reader to see if its pulls any codes? Intermittent problems like this are often hard to pinpoint without the use of a computer diagnostic tool. Your car has a on-board computer that stores many/most system errors, this should help a qualified mechanic to narrow the problem down. They run about $59 bucks on Amazon if you want to try a "do-it-yourself" fix.
Thank You for your response. We did have it coded, codes P1260 and B1681. It's the Anti-theft system (at least one of them is). A mechanic told us since the BCM got hit pretty hard it was more than likely the issue. Got a new Pre programmed BCM and it didn't work. The only thing we haven changed out is the MAF sensor and the PCM. We have given up, tired of throwing good money after bad so to speak, and are taking it to a ford dealer on Monday. Again ... Thank You for your time.
