Stalling

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Purchase vehicle new in 2010.  Well maintained.  Never any service problems.  While
driving on highway there was no problem.  Exited and came to a red light.  Car
spuddered and stalled.  Restarted immediately and killed again.  Restarted and
proceeded to next stop light where it again stalled at ldle.  Restarted and proceeded to
destination without requiring another stop.  After being parked for five hours re-entered
and proceeded home where the truck ran fine, no stalling.  Suspected Idle Air Control
Valve but Haynes Repair Manual does not list the vehicle as having one.  Any ideas for
the reason for the problem which has not replicated itself?  Was the IAC renamed?
Vehicle has 27K original miles.  The manual also states the vehicle has a fuel filter
which is part of the fuel pump and not serviceable, 4/6 V8

I can do that, but cannot replicate the problem. Drove the vehicle today without a hitch. My main concern is the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly and not serviceable. Looks like Ford had another good idea which isn't.

Maybe a little water in the fuel workin its way through. I know what ya mean, but all the brands have there annoying probs , the whole fuel pump in the tank design drives me nuts.
