just got this car but may have some issues because it shows in the carfax
the previous owner was at the dealer 5 times.

My symptoms today,  when I was turning off the engine as soon I switch it
to off,  the dashboard lights and radio went dead..   When I switch it on off
again everything is back.  but the mileages and radio is reset :(  

My first feeling is the ignition switch..  maybe it created a shortage.  ?   I
had this also with my honda one time.

but when I started the car again,  I noticed little flickering in the light and the
battery red light was slightly coming on..  could the alternator also going
bad??

I wonder if the dealer sold me a lemon, I am sure the know something is
wrong because the showed me the carfax  the previous owner was several
time at 2 different dealers...

Check battery cables first to make sure they're not corroded and make sure they're making good contact. If everything checks out good, ignition switch is bad

will do :) it just let me think about the ignition switch because the second I turned that switch in the middle position when it clicked both radio and dashboard went dead.. felt like pushing a turn of switch
