Hearing Bumping noise when turning
Asked by MemphisRRSC Nov 11, 2019 at 09:17 PM about the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover V8 Supercharged 4WD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2018 RR supercharged with 15k miles. When turning from a dead stop there is a "thud" sound coming from the rear It almost sounds like something is rolling around in the back and hits the wall of the cargo area, etc. It does not happen when moving through a turn (ie turning at a red light). It seems to be from a dead stop only. Any help would be immensely helpful!

My guess is something loose in the rear suspension. Use your warranty!

Anyone get this diagnosed? I’m having the same issue with my 2015 HSE. At first I thought something was loose in trunk or the spare tire was loose but it’s not that.
my truck is in for this right now, have had the car for 1 year finally had a tech acknowlege he can hear the thumping ( like a water bottle hitting the trunk) - they did fluid flushes, and said the noise was gone, its back there since that didnt work! i was told the tech thought it was the driveshaft.
