does the cx 5 have a full size spare tire ????

That is a really silly answer. The Honda CRV still comes with a full size spare. Living on the mid norh coast and travelling south to Sydney and north to Brisbane every alternate week a full size spare is a must. And yes had a puncture on the freeway just last month. Thank God and Honda I had the full size spare which allowed me to continue to my destination without having to limit speed to 80kph. Car manufacturers need to rethink what is a safety feature and bring back the full size spare in all vehicles.

SUV = sport utility vehicle. I take my current SUV off road in areas where there is no cell service. A doughnut spare is not the answer. So maybe it should be PUV = paved utility vehicle.
