2002 jimmy blazer has fuel but gage will say no fuel and dies. Starts like a champ but will not stay running. Some days it runs just fine though.

SOOOO,Are you out of fuel because the gauge is inop.? Or you do have fuel and it won't stay running?

I have fuel in the tank. Cranks over on first try. Runs for a minute or so then dies. Thinking the fuel pump and filter. If I put it in nutral it doesn't die though. Stumped because on some days acts just finr and runs smooth.
