Can I swap a 1998 Ford Ranger 4 x 4 3.0 engine
with a 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 engine 2 wheel drive
both are automatic transmission

If you live in California you can put the 04 engine in the 98, but not the other way around "Smog issues"
