A/C Heater blend actuator not working

10

Asked by Jimmy Sep 16, 2020 at 07:47 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LT Turbo Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the actuator and before I bolted it up I
moved control from hot to cold and it didn't
activate the actuator, does this mean the control
knob is broke or is there a fuse that could be bad?
TIA

Could be a fuse, the control unit or you may have messed up the actuator upon installation. Always refer to the service manual when replacing HVAC actuators. Some of them are plug and play and some are not. Also if you purchased the actuator at a parts store and not the dealership, the actuator may be bad. I have seen this many times.

Thanks for the reply, I will go over it again and check manual, didn't realize they weren't just a plug in item
