car wont start due to theft deterant system

Asked by GuruV9LQK Aug 01, 2018 at 07:23 AM about the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LT Turbo Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do you get the car to start when the fob is not working and when key is
inserted it does not start

1 Answer

FOB got wet at beach. Took batteries out of Fob wiped them off on pants and replaced batteries back into fob an it worked to unlock car and car started. At first the car would not unlock with the fob because the fob was not working. Used key to unlock car but car would not start due to the theft deterant system. Took batteries out of FOB and then put them back in and then the FOB began working again.
