My 2019 Ford Edge doesn’t have an engine cover. Is this new for 2019, or
mistake?

Thank you, the dealer says no, but it has the connections for one. I will call Ford.

I just drove my new Edge 2019 from de dealer on South Florida yesterday. At this morning I've opened the hood and...doesn’t have an engine cover. Very ugly view of the engine top. Incredible Ford is selling this car without the cover...saving peanuts???

I just bought a 2019 Edge Titanium. Its 2 liter turbo engine did not have a cover. I found there was a Ford part # for a cover for the 2019 but when the dealer tried to order it, the computer would not let them. I was able to order it for $42 from a different dealer. I just installed it and it looks great. It's made from 2" thick soft foam. Now I'm wondering it there could be a heat problem.

So.... Everybody, at this time, knows that the Ford 2 L Turbo Engines ( 2019 Edge and Explorer) doesn’t come with the plastic cover. The main question is: WHY ??! Nobody at Ford could answer this question ! To prevent a hot top engine warming? To prevent a turbo excessive warming ? To save a kind of space? To save peanuts ? Why Ford didn’t tell us the right reason for this ugly view of the top of our engines?

I bought one also. I makes the engine bay look much better. There only 2 of the mounting stud on the exhaust manifold. The 2 back ones are there on the Lincoln that comes with the cover, but are not on the Ford. One looke to be a short ball stud, the other is some kind of a shaft with a nut on top. I have been to the Lincoln dealer and can't seem to find a part nuber on the part. Anyone find one?

I just finally figured out and got the rest of the hardware. The ball stud that goes on the drivers side in the back is: AA5Z-6N958-A. The bolt that holds it down on the rear on the passenger side is: AG9Z-00812-D. These will cost you around $10 each plus shipping. Expensive, but these are the correct parts.

We recently got a 2020 Edge Sel and it too has no engine cover. It seems the covet has some sound deadening properties because when I'm outside and my wife fires it up theres more valve train noise that wasn't as pronounced as our previous Escape. I've also been considering buying a cover. Dave

FYI, I contacted the dealer and he confirmed with Ford that the ticking sound is the fuel pump functioning normally, especially when the engine is first started up at idle of 600 to 800 RPMs. I installed an engine cover and it barely deadens the noise.

John...I just got a 2020 Ford fusion and it has the same ticking noise. The dealer claims it to be the automatic start and stop. Also no engine cover.

Hi, I just traded in my 2019 Ford Escape for a 2019 Ford Edge and it has no engine cover. AND, it makes a noise. The dealer told me that the noise is due to no engine cover. Can I order the cover (from the link above) and will it stop the noise?
