Asked by Jennifer Apr 07, 2018 at 10:43 PM about the 2002 Mercury Sable GS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was replacing the fuel tank and one of the lines
broke that connects everything on the fuel tank to
the fuel filter and the rest of the system. How do I
replace the part without tge part name?

just tell them you want the supply , feed , line , have the old one with you , if they don't have it check with the dealer or a OEM distributor , or on line (lines to go.com) if it was easy everyone would do it , the thing about fuel filters is by the time there's a problem the lines are rusted and are not going to come apart to match anything up , and you end up replacing one thing after another , you're looking at an 18 year old sable , if the frame is in very good shape it might be worth the $$ otherwise think about cutting your loses and get something else
