How do u restart my cougar??Apparently,the alarm system was accidently disabled,by the opening of my door,while the car was running!!

I suppose,no one can help me=(I've had it with this dang Cougar!!I'm sick of this alarm system causing my car to totally shut down!I don't have a manual for the 2001, V6, Mercury Cougar....
I'm having the same problem with my 99" cougar I only have the key no remote never had one but now car is shut down an its my daily driver I tried the doors an trunk locking an unlocking still nothing need help or how do I disconnect the entire alarm someone please email me at juan.solis33@yahoo.com
it might be a oxygen sensor going out. that's what happened with mine.

Amanda Your saying the O2 sensor needing to be replaced Can cause the alarm to go off at times? Replacing that can fix it?
