Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the thermostat in my 2000
Mercury Sable. But I am still running into an
overheating problem. And now there is a
little smoke coming from the engine. And a
knocking noise coming from the bottom of
the engine. And my heat is not working
anymore either.

It's no leak from what I see. When I changed thermostat I also put in coolant and water. And my thermostat is still running to the hot and I only see Steam when I have stopped driving.
