I have a 1999 mercury cougar and when I'm driving on the highway doing 65 the hand goes up to 3 and 4 and the car starts to jerk. I'm scared that's its the transmission please tell me it ain't.

Yes I have had the transmission fluid checked! I've also had 3 different people look at it. The codes they ran was all different and my car still jerks. They said the intake manifold and the o2 sensor. But after reading everybody else answers on here about their jerkin problems could it be the Transmission Range Senor.
