What is the plastic tube I broke? picture

What is the plastic tube I broke? also how important is it, can i just use duck
tape or do i need a new part

Probably the PCV tube. I would get a new one, but you can tape it in a pinch. Just make sure the air flow is not obstructed.

Just get some vacuum hose that will fit over hose with a slightly tight fit.
