mini cooper r53 mysterious buttons ?

i have a mini r53 and there are these two buttons one right by gas pedal and
the other one is on the left side of the dash under by steering wheel that i have
no idea what they r for???

Read your owners manual or download one but that looks like a fog light switch.

It's the button for the Rally Lights on the grill. Not all r53 Mini Coopers have them installed, but all were pre-wired for them. Fog Light switches are on the toggle panel of the center console in between the window controls. (If they are installed, otherwise the toggles will just have blanks.)
