Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 2004 galant 4 cyl. Recently it's been hard to slow starting as if it won't turn over, but then it does. I took it to the dealer who ruled out the alternator, starter and battery. I also had the throttle cleaned, but it's still doing it. Any idea what could be causing this?

If the Starter, alternator, and battery were tested independently and are good, that leaves connections/corrosion. I had a car that did that...at first worked really hard and barely turned over for a few seconds, then suddenly cranked fast and started...turned out to be battery ground, the other end of the neg-wire would heat up from trying to ground. The dissimilar metals, copper terminal on steel chassis.
