hi I have a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse gs 2.4 124000 miles, the car is automatic, it runs amazing !! I was driving yesterday on the manual shifter, I came to a stop light as I was approaching my friends house, I swapped it back into automatic, as soon as I did that the check engine light comes on, the light goes green and as I give the car gas it was only going about 20-35 miles per hour, I left off the throttle and the rpm was flying haywire between 1100-2300 rpms, it shut off approaching my friends driveway and it wouldnt restart, we checked the timing belt, the fuses, the spark plugs, the battery and the coil covers and can not figure out whats wrong with it, it wont start, the eletric works completely fine and the engine turns over without a problem, just wont start, please help me???

Go to your local auto parts store ( advance or auto zone) and have the codes read. They will do this for free. Then post codes back on here so we can help you with them.
