My esclipe is puttering white smoke coming out tail pipe had oil in spark plug mis fire. so i changed spark plugs value cover gasket replaced map air flow sensor replaced full tune up. what else could be the problem please help

That is definitely one of the signs that the head gasket needs to be replaced and is on its way out. I would have a trusted mechanic look at it.

If you find it to be a head issue and it sounds like it might be I would suggest putting in a new timing belt and water pump. If it hasn't been replaced. Interference engine if timing belt breaks you will bend your valves. As tenspeed mentioned a compression check will guide you in the right direction. Also those valve covers are known to leak right around the spark plug. Was it definitely oil that was causing the fouling issue? If so a good sea foam fogging could help clean all the old oil off the valve and piston tops.
