2000 Eclipse gt won't start

Asked by Christopher Aug 11, 2015 at 12:45 PM about the 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Started with a code for misfire in #6 so I
changed the spark plug, fuel injector, fuel
injector connector, distributer cap and rotor
(done after new issue today). So I'm driving
this morning and I let off the clutch the car
has horrid misfires. Check engine light
comes on go to friends smog shop he plugs
it in and only one code shows misfire in 6.
So to tell u the problem if I step on the gas
in gear clutch out below 2300 rpm car bogs
and sounds like misfires above 2500 its all
good  And just to add if I do WOT lower the
2500 rpm bogs down doesn't want to move
if i press slow down on pedal it accelerates
fine. Now the car won't start when I turn the
key it turns over but no fire. When I turn the
key to the off position the engine still moves
for a sec or two and I hear a thunk or clunk.
Crankshaft sensor?

That doesn't help I read that already especially since the car won't start could it be that sensor ? The number 6 cylinder is where its the misfire and I changed everything it could be except the wires. Basically yesterday the car died.
