Not always. I had one break on an eagle talon, and it did not damage anything. Do a compression check at each spark plug. If compression is good, then more than likely you will only have to replace timing belt.

I have a list of interference & non-interference motors. I need to know what size your v6 engine is and if it has 12 valves or 24 valves...

Ok there Joel, all the V6 motors are interference engines EXCEPT the 3.0 SOHC 12 valve motor. So if you have any of the others, yes your valves will be messed up.
