Question type: Car Customization

2019 chevy colorado with new camper shell. I need to wire the cap brake light.
What is the best way to do this given the use of one bulb in the taillight
assembly for both turn signal and brake light.

tap into the hot wire when brake is on in 1 side.

There is most likely a wire ran for it underneath your truck. Look for a light blue wire on the drivers side next to the spare tire. Positive lead to blue wire, ground to a frame ground and you're done.

Blue wire is for trailer brake control. Orange is most likely the 12v you're looking for in a GM. 2015 Chevy Colorado owner. I went the dumb/easy way and just spliced into a 4 pin trailer connector.
