i need a cheap easy way to get my rig back into 2wd

I am not up on 4x4's but can't you get under the car and manually disengage it by moving the lever selecting it. If so, you may also be able to fix the original problem while you are there.

Actually i took the fuse out in the cab and the one under the hood as well.It took it out of 4wd. when I put the fuses back in and the light reset as well.

Sounds like you figured it out. I would have never thought about fuses causing or correcting the problem. Glad you got it fixed. Like I said, I'm not up on 4x4's. Thanks for the reply.
