Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Recently I changed the fuel pump on my audi like a week and a half ago. The car has trouble starting I am not sure why. It will start but it takes a longer than usual before it would start on the first time I turned the key, now when I turn the key it keeps trying then after 5 seconds in starts.

perhaps you should change the fuel filter. Make sure you prime the lines 3-4 key turns primes the lines after disconnecting the fuel system.
So this priming thing is 3 or 4 keys, but is it before starting the car. I did change the fuel filter.
it is done before you start the car. You normaly only have to do this right after reconnecting the fuel lines. check fuel pump connections and make sure nothing has corrosion on it for the plugs. An just to be sure you know when i say 3-4 keys i mean turn the car to power on only 3-4 times do not try and start it till the last time you turn the key and be sure to let the pump humm then shut off before turning back to power off on each time. hope this helps. If you do open the tank again check the filter attached to the pump make sure its clean and clear and also check for sediment at the bottom of your tank. there is a possibility the pump could be faulty. it does happen every once and a while with a new pump especially if its been on a shelf for a long time.
