NO HEAT!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys! My 2006 impala has no heat. I have ac but the
heat is just plain lukewarm air. My car seems to have dual
climate control for the passenger and I, so I figured it cant
be an actuator since they're would have to be two, and the
odds of both of them going out is rare, am I right? I had an
issue with an actuator clicking a while back and I replaced
it and the heat worked again, but now I'm back to no heat
months later. Coolant wise, it's full. I did use 50/50 and I
mixed it with distilled water and not just tap water. My first
step will be flushing the system. Any ideas????

Distilled water is what I would use for topping off a battery if I needed. Check and see if you 5/8 heater tubes are clear and not plugged up. Next thing I would check my thermostat since they can get stuck at times and replace if need. I would also check my blend door. Turn key on and turn switch back and forth and listen to door switch. If no switch it's not good. Also, a heater core will plug up at times and need a flush. But before the $80 to $100 charge I would check out the other components first
