Power rear gate

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got my 2019 Grand Caravan and a few times now when I hit the button, on car or key fob, the gate starts to descend but seems to hit a snag about 6 inches down which causes it to reverse and stay open.  When this has happened I have had to manually lower the door and overcome substantial resistance doing so.  Once I have closed the door, it behaves normally again, until the next time it misbehaves.  DOes anyone have any information to share?

Thanks for the answer. The vehicle is still under warranty, but like I said the problem is intermittent. I don't want to be bringing it to the dealership only to hear "I can't find a problem." Anything particular you can suggest? Thanks!
