1997 Explorer power door auto locks.

My '97 Explorer has an auto lock feature that automatically locks the power locks after you put the car in drive a few seconds. This drives me nuts. How do you disconnect the auto lock feature without screwing up the power locks?

I have another 97 Explorer, and it doesn't have that feature. Their has to be a way to bypass that. If it were a "safety feature" it would have been installed on ALL Explorers of that and subsequent years. I am sure it is part of a higher trim package that was installed on the truck...
