1991 MITSUBISHI 3000GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Before i got this car, it had been sitting in a yard for a while. (I know, bad). but, the car smokes really bad, especially taking off in 1st and going in reverse. Would 'engine honey' help this, or do i have to get my rings redone? It also hydroplanes really bad and im wondering what i could do to make it not do that so bad

engine honey is a chlorinated paraffin which will do more long term damage to the engine than the short term good it does.

I agree "engine honey" is garbage. Fix the problem right. I could be your rings or it could be your valve guides. Find out what's leaking and fix it the right way. The only thing you should pour in your crank case is oil. As for hydroplaning. I would bet it's your tires. Either they're pretty bad and need to be replaced or they are sports tires that aren't meant to be used in the wet.
