1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo

Asked by Chevette_1922 Jan 16, 2017 at 03:35 PM about the 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Turbo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo 2.0
from the junk yard. Smoked like hell so i changed
the turbo and it helped with the smoke but when
driving the car for a good 15 minutes it starts
bogging out and stuttering. Kicks back and forth,
wont go past 4rmgs and leaks mad oil. When cold it
runs just about prefect. I also cahnged the spark
pulgs in it but it didnt really seem to work. My
question is what is the problem!?!?!?!

Do a compression. Where is the oil leak from and is it going into the intake? You may want to check the catalytic converter to see if it's plugged, they can't take oil consumption
