I don't know what can be causing my 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 to run hot.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed out both thermostats and the car still runs hot. It would be fine
until driving a couple of miles. Then the gage would start to rise and I would
have to turn the heater on full blast to keep it from getting too hot. Once
stopped and parked, you can hear the coolant bubbling from being to hot.

First, could you have let air into the system when you changed the thermostats? If so, bleed the air from the system and see if the car returns to normal. If you haven't done anything to cause air to get into the cooling system, then look to other things like a plugged radiator, a colapsed hose, a failed water pump, or a loose serpentine belt. Let us know what you find.
