2010 Nissan Altima- It keeps revving up and I don't know what to fix about it

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car keeps revving and not switching gear a lot.
so if my engine is revving like crazy and giving me a high pitched rev too and
ever so often it isn't switching gears whether I am in automatic or sport. It is
almost as if my car is racing itself. Would that be a problem with my
transmission or what?
What do I need to look at?

I have a 2006 Altima and mine was doing the same thing it ended up being 2 sensors on the outside of the transmission. We changed them and it shifts just fine. Hope this helps
