Cracked head

So i tried bars sealant for my head gasket
my engine sounds better but my check
engine light is on is that a bad thing did i
make it worse.  I was told get an oil change
incase there was water in the oil.

so is the leak stoped...and is there water in the oil??? it cant hure to change the oil/filter !
