Well lets see, why did you replace the alternator in the first place was
it a mechanical problem or an electrical one? Did you check to see
what the output of the alternator was with a meter? What is it? It
should be between 13 and 15 Volt. An easy check to see if it is the
alternator or the battery is to start the car and turn on the lights and
the AC and do the head lights dim or does the car kill you may need a
new alternator. Remember the battery is used to only start the car and
the alternator ensures that the battery is charged but the alternator
runs the car electrical system. If you added a lot of additional after
market electrical devices you may need a larger output alternator. New
is always better than used but a rebuilt one should last longer than
that!
